AUGUST 2001

Lusty (yeah, he likes to 'hang', sell cds, meet the ladies...) journeyed to Nova Scotia and joined Fearing at the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, followed by a couple of days of scuba.

On August 10th through the 15th, 2001. I accompanied our peripatetic hero to the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival. Stephen and I agreed that it might be fun to share our little sojourn with his fans in the form of a diary.

The Cast

You know who Stephen Fearing is or you wouldn't be reading this. So, allow me to introduce myself. I am Chris Lusty. I am a self-employed scientific software author. You can check out the fruits of my labour at my partner's web site titrate.com. I am married to Nancy. We have two children, Mary and Eli. We also have an ancient beagle, Echo.

Stephen and I are scuba diving buddies. For the past three years we've managed to get together a couple of times a year for a little submarine activity.

The Premise

This story is about what I saw tagging along with Stephen at the Folk Festival and about our experiences scuba diving after the festival.

It's not often that either of us gets to mix travel and pleasure.

We bounced around a number of possible titles (Fear and Lust in Lunenburg, Christopher and Stephen's Excellent Adventure, etc., etc.). This is the best that we could come up with…
